Cachaca Apple and Cardamom Flip

This outstanding Flip cocktail, uses 1 whole egg with Cachaca rum, Apple Brandy and Cardamom bitters for the perfect evening sip. A rich and velvety serve!

  • 1 oz Cachaca Leblon used here
  • 1 oz Apple Brandy
  • 3/4 oz Gonzales Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 dashes Cardamom bitters
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 oz Demerara Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Heavy Cream
  • 1 Whole Nutmeg lightly grated for garnish


  1. In a shaker, combine all ingredients and dry shake (without ice!) vigorously. 

  2. Add ice to shaker and strain into chilled coupe glass or short glass with 1 large ice cube

  3. Grate lightly with nutmeg

Note the Demerara Syrup is a 2:1 ratio to create a nice, rich syrup.
