Servings 1 cocktail
Author Monica C

  • 1/2 oz Cognac H by Hine used here
  • 1/2 oz Appleton Estate Rum 8 yr
  • 1/2 oz Briottet Creme de Banane Liqueur *
  • 1/4 oz Grand Marnier a dash of this is fine!
  • 1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 3 dashes Apothecary's Cacao and Coffee Bitters
  • 1 oz Sparkling Wine

  1. Grab a shaker and fill with ice and add all the ingredients except the sparkling wine. Give this a vigorous shake.

  2. Strain into chilled coupe glass, and top with Sparkling Wine.

  3. Optional Garnish - Orange Peel or I used freshly grated Nutmeg here.

Recipe Notes

*If you have access to Tempus Fugit Spirits Creme de Banane, you WILL NOT regret this purchase. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it here in Ontario, but when you do see it abroad, grab it! Otherwise Briottet's version is a great substitute and what I used here.
