Granny Smith Apple and Vinho Verde Syrup

  • 1 Granny Smith Apple Cut into wedges, seeds removed
  • 1.5 cups Vinho Verde
  • 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil

  2. Once it starts to boil, immediately bring it down to a simmer for 20 minutes

  3. Mash the apples and let it simmer for 2 more minutes before straining

  4. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and let this sit at room temperature before storing into fridge. Can last up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
