Coast to Coast with Canadian Spirits

On this very special CTV’s The Social segment, I create 4 unique Cocktails that highlight some of the unique offerings this beautiful country has to offer. We explore a coast to coast look into some of the great distilleries out there, and businesses creating unique and delicious Non-Alcoholic solutions, products and more. First we highlight the Yukon with a Maple, Apricot and Black Currant Old Fashioned. We pay a visit to B.C. and highlighting Vancouver Island with a delicious Gin cocktail. We talk all things Whisky in Alberta with a Paper Plane Riff, and lastly a stop in Newfoundland for some exclusive Rum! Come see some of the wonderful offerings Canada has to offer to the spirits world.

Yukon Single Malts and a Yukon Old Fashioned

You read that right, Canada has Single Malts! Of course, we don’t call in Scotch, but this award-winning brewer has made a lastly impression on the Whisky community and you need to know why. We build a very special Maple, Apricot and Black Currant Old Fashioned to celebrate Canadian Spirits and produce! Click on the photo above, if you’d like to whip up this recipe yourself.

Vancouver Island feature with The Green Current

This recipe has Gin. This recipe has Beer. This recipe has a substitute Citrus solution and it doesn’t stop there. This cocktail will surprise you on how well it comes together. We call it the Green Current because of it’s nod to Vancouver Island and how beautifully our West Coast is represented, even in its taste! Find the recipe by clicking on the photo above.

Celebrating Rye Whisky with this Paper Plane Riff

The classic Paper Plane is having it’s moment in bars, but I decide to give it a very special Canadian influence here. We explore the prairies and Alberta with this special Rye-based Whisky. We explore Rye Whisky vs Canadian Whisky, and some of the beautiful spirits that complete this gem. Find the recipe for this whisky cocktail by clicking the photo above.

Highlighting the Maritimes with an Apple & Rose Rum Sour

Rum plays an important role in the Maritimes, and I honour that with a very special Newfoundland Rum, paired with other incredible products made here in Canada. This Apple & Rose Rum Sour should not be messed with. It’s delicious and something you will want to make more and more. Find this delicious recipe by tapping on the photo above!
