Liquid Culture’s Holiday Gift Guide – Special Holiday Releases

You’re probably here because you love Liquid Culture (gracias) or just looking for holiday inspired bottles to mix up. This season brings on many random new holiday inspired spirits (good and some not so good). But I wanted to showcase some of my favourites and noteworthy selections to have on your bar this holiday.

For point of reference, please note that all bottles mentioned are items that are / should be available in Ontario. For the international guests on here, I kept in mind the selection that’s available within our province and know full well that there is still a WORLD of products yet to be tasted.

All Bottles and Products mentioned are entirely unsponsored. We wanted to provide you with our outmost honesty this holiday season. This way no one is getting crappy gifts this season.

Popping Bottles this Holiday

Bottega Pistacchio – Priced at $24.95. This is a guilty pleasure RIGHT HERE. If you love pistacchio, you’re going to hate how much you love this. I would serve this up in a classic Brandy Alexander, or just enjoy this neat!

Bols Advocaat Priced at $22.85. This isn’t anything new to the shelves, but it should forever be the traditional holiday liqueur. I’m always pleasantly surprised at home much I love mixing with this Dutch liqueur combining egg, brandy and sugar. It’s a take on an eggnog, and to me, deserves all the respect during the holidays.

Collective Arts Holiday Gin – Priced at $48.95. Okay, it doesn’t take much of a genius to know my love of Collective Arts Brewery! They’ve been creating distillates for some time now, and I’m excited to share their newest addition. We have a Holiday Gin that offers tasting notes of Orange, Cocoa and Coffee all in one delicious sip.

Sortilege Maple Cream – Priced at $29.95. Sortilege needs to be on more peoples radars. They are a whisky brand from Quebec, that makes some exceptional products with Maple very much at the forefront. I’ve had the honour to try their new Alcoholic Cream Liqueur and it meets the rigorous standard that is Sortilege. Available for purchase at the LCBO now.

Ugly Mulled Wine – Priced at $14.95. You wouldn’t think much by the title of this bottle, and the fact that I’m promoting something that is already a cocktail instead of building one yourself. But this Ugly Mulled Wine has been a favourite for a long time and typically sells out.

Evan Williams Eggnog Whisky – Priced at $15.95. I do not get excited over Eggnog. This was not a past time beverage in my casa growing up (we’re talking alcoholic or non alcoholic). But when I got a taste of this…I actually used the words Wow. Maybe I’m just this enthused, because I’m sipping alcohol again, but this is incredible stuff. Evan Williams already produces a great whiskey, but it’s also blended with rum, brandy and all the holiday spices you expect. I would shamelessly sip this on its own. I said it.

Jack Daniels Winter Jack – Priced at $24.95. This is another case where Jack Daniel pleasantly surprises me again and again. What are you getting from Winter Jack profile? Well it’s an Apple Whiskey Punch that warms the soul. Bring out the apple cider and some of this, and you have the perfect winter warmer.

What’s my favourite of the pack? The Collective Arts, Evan Williams Eggnog and Sortilege are really up there for me!
