Celery and Apple Syrup

Created in honour of Seedlip’s Garden 108 and Green Giant recipe, this syrup is a dream for your next mocktail and/or cocktail. Recommended with some citrus, agave, sparkling or pretty much anything you can think of. Find the recipe below for details!

Celery and Apple Syrup

A delicious celery and apple infused Syrup that can be used in any of your cocktail, mocktails or your next gimlet!

Ingredients

  • 8 stalks Celery rinsed and roughly chopped
  • 2 Honeycrisp or Royal Gala Apples roughly chopped
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple roughly chopped
  • 1 Lime peeled
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1.5 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, add celery and apples and blend with 1/2 cup of water

  2. Strain juice out through a fine mesh strainer, discarding 3/4 of remains

  3. In a medium saucepan, add the juice and remaining blended celery and apple bits with water, sugar and whole lime peel. Bring this up to almost a boil and simmer for 5 minutes

  4. Strain and let this cool to room temperature before storing in fridge

Recipe Notes

This cordial can be kept refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.
