Travelling the Globe for World Whisky Day

We’re travelling around the globe for World Whisky Day the only way we know how, through cocktails! With an exclusive event featuring the lineup at Diageo, we’re celebrating all styles of whisk(e)y’s with two cocktail creations.

Celebrating World Whisky Day with Diageo

Diageo definitely has one serious line up of premium Whiskies to celebrate World Whisky Day. It’s one of the reasons Beth and I partnered up to create an exclusive event celebrating their whisky portfolio. We’ve got Roe & Co Irish Whiskey, Singleton 12 yr Single Malt Scotch and Crown Royal Rye just to name a few. I won’t be featuring all the cocktails we created, but I do want to celebrate 2 of them, all around the theme of the Mason Jar.

These upcoming cocktails are all easy to create at home and can be shaken up with a simple Mason Jar at home! So you don’t need any fancy tools for you to create delicious cocktails at home.

Roe & Flow made with Roe & Co. Irish Whiskey

Tropical fruits and Irish Whiskey go hand in hand. This is not a new concept here on Liquid Culture. So if you’re craving something tropical with a bit of bite, look no further! Make sure you have some decent Orgeat Syrup around, and pack this up so all you have to do is simply add your ice and shake. To create the Roe & Flow with Roe & Co, follow the instructions below:

  • 1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup

  1. In your mason jar, add all your ingredients except soda.
  2. Fill with a handful of ice, close the lid and give this a quick shake.
  3. Remove the lid and top with Soda.

Single Ray with Singleton 12 yr Single Malt

I have LONG been a fan of Singleton of Dufftown. Their Single Malt as some of my favourite in its category, so it was an honour to create something here for the team. Note that everything we are building is meant to be using a Mason Jar. With that said, I combined some bitter components with the Amaro Montenegro, Lemon, Orange and Cinnamon in this delicious serve.
